I didn't see his actual hanging of course, and I didn't see or search for footage of his body, but I was shocked as I watched on my home page the video they have accessible of the hanging. It had no sound (not like it would matter as I don't speak Arabic), but they showed the process of his hanging up to the point where they put the noose around his neck. My heart started beating really fast and I was going to click off right when it stopped. I know you can search and find some pretty gruesome images on the internet as I have inadvertently done so with still pictures once in a blue moon, but I was just sort of surprised to see it on my home page provided by my ISP and brought to me by CNN. I guess our society has brought back public executions for all to see. On the other hand, his victims were denied any shred of dignity with respect to their deaths. Those who hate him will revel in it; those who adore him will hold it up as evidence of his marytdom (not sure if I spelled that right -- it doesn't look right no matter how I spell it!). *** • I saw exactly what you saw.
